SUPERVISES/OVERSEES Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance of reefer containers , associated equipment, Cranes and all types of mobile platform held by the company, Substation, Buildings, Ware houses and Yards , instruments , automation etc.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY & AUTHORITY
Reefer Equipment, Electrical and Mechanical Preventive Maintenance & Troubleshooting. Ensure good maintenance practices (GMP) are followed and a professional appearance is maintained. To ensure that equipment is released back to Operations in a serviceable and safe condition as soon as possible
Apply sound mechanical and electrical solutions to resolve obstacles to equipment and system efficiencies and to drive continuous improvement
Contract Administration & Management of appointed Maintenance Contracts, in conformity to the laid and in-place Contract Agreement.
Put up techno-commercial evaluated proposal, as per SOP, to management towards purchases (parts) or contracts (material & labour) related to engineering works.
Technical and tactical support to Operations, Administration /Rail and Project Department.
Ensure all equipment and systems have appropriate certificate of competency. Take up with concern internal dept. to make renewal applications and liaisoning with statutory departments for obtaining renewal certificate of competency.
Collaborate with Finance & Accounts Department to create and execute a maintenance budget to insure that financial allocations and obligations are set, administered and met.
Prepare and finalize Standard Operating Procedure of Eng. Services dept. in accordance with applicable Health, Safety and Environment regulations and on Management approval implement and follow the same for day-to-day working.
Any other responsibility as required to function under the department and as instructed by Management.
Provide daily technical support to operations, administration and project department. Implementing good House-keeping practices within the Department and assiduously follow.
Maintenance scheduling and co-ordination with inter-department and contractor for maintenance work. Ensuring that Contractors are aware and adhere to the Company’s HSE regulations and policies.
Ensure that appropriate inventory levels for standard replacement parts are maintained.
Provide technical support and inspection assistance during statute visit.
Ensure all plant maintenance operations are conducted in a safe and controlled environment.
Procurement of reefer and container equipment spares, Inventory of minimum critical spares to be maintained in the depot for emergency.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Graduation in Electrical Engineering /Electrical Officer
Experience: Container handling equipment maintenance for 5 yrs.
