1\ufe0f\u20e3Don’t join institute without sponsorship\/placement.<\/p>\n

\u300aJust in case you’re planning to join Merchant Navy\u300b<\/p>\n

2\ufe0f\u20e3Don’t completely rely on family\/friends references.<\/p>\n

\u300aReputed shipping companies consider merit based selection\u300b<\/p>\n

3\ufe0f\u20e3Don’t fall victim to Agents.<\/p>\n

\u300aI personally don’t recommend this to any fresher\/beyond\u300b<\/p>\n

4\ufe0f\u20e3Don’t stick to the idea of joining FG vessel only.<\/p>\n

\u300aYou can switch to FG from offshore at a later stage\u300b<\/p>\n

What you must follow\u203c\ufe0f<\/strong><\/h3>\n

1\ufe0f\u20e3 Email your CV separately to almost every shipping company.<\/p>\n

\u300aI’d recommend https:\/\/seadonna.com\/india which posts more than 100 vacancies for Seafarers on daily basis\u300b<\/p>\n

2\ufe0f\u20e3Your Linkedin profile must be updated & connected with individuals of same fraternity.<\/p>\n

\u300aApart from self-obsessed wannabe crowd here, some are real gems who will definitely help you\u300b<\/p>\n

3\ufe0f\u20e3Call crewing personnel and enlighten them about your willingness to join their fleet.<\/p>\n

\u300aBe professional with your speech\u300b<\/p>\n

4\ufe0f\u20e3Send your Resume by Courier.<\/p>\n

\u300aJust in case you don’t get good response & willing to visit companies, better try sending resume via post-first in this Covid Era\u300b<\/p>\n

5\ufe0f\u20e3Visiting companies.<\/p>\n
